"Victor and his superior Cassie scammed me. State Farm has already been under scrutiny for years now. BE CAREFUL! These agents scammed me.
I was transferring my State Farm auto/renters policy from a different state. While doing my quote, Victor was able to pull over my policy from the other State Farm... we updated my policy to adhear to Michigan legality. I was told the renters ($9.50) won't transfer for the first month just due to the system but I will pay auto/renters as a bundle on my next payment. I get a quote for my new auto policy, was affordable and what I needed. I signed documents and paid. 2 weeks later I get a call from the supervisor, Cassie. She was extremely bubbly and accusatory. She said I was mis quoted on my policy and it is $35 more a month and I also owe them $35 for my first payment. That did not sit with me well. It is no longer a quote after I signed the documents and recieved an email with my new policy and first payment receipt. So you had me commit to a payment and then change it, that is NO LONGER A QUOTE, they changed the whole monthly payment of my policy AFTER signing. That is a scam. I would not have agreed to this policy. Cassie made the situation seem like my fault and kept giggling over the phone. I was telling her about my conversation with Victor and she says "oh he's right here" Okay, good. Then we can all chat because it is not on me that an agent made a mistake but now I must pay for it or be penalized? She was refusing any resolution or accountability. I also asked if the calls are recorded because she accused me of withholding information as to why my quote was the price it was. Mind you, Victor read my policy from Arizona and compared to Michigan, we went over all of that on the phone. I asked her to not be condensending and blame me. I mentioned I should not have to pay for their mistake. I was told i have to pay the extra $35/mo on top of my policy and "they will divide the other $35 that they didn't recieve on my first payment and add that to my monthly policy as well."
Well.... I recieved my first new bill with the renters and auto... and it's even more than the 2nd dang quote CASSIE told me. So not only Victor but the supervisor at this agency got over on me too.
That price was already higher than what I consented to. Now I see the renters is even higher than what they told me as well. None of this was discussed nor have I signed any other documents since the new quote. So how legal is this?
We all live in the same economy and some are struggling to just get food on the table everyday. I personally have had to cold turkey my life sustaining medication due to our healthcare system so if every damn entity that we as americans have to utilize to be considered up to par in this system... if they could STOP SCAMMING US it would be highly appreciated. Thanks for taking food off my table.
